How to charge extra fees using a saved card

Overweight, extra days, contamination: when the customer's card was saved during booking, invoice payment or card-by-phone, you can charge extra fees in CAD without calling the customer back.

    Before you start

    • The customer paid before through the platform, which saved the card on your Stripe account.
    1. 1

      Open the extra charge dialog

From the order (Finances or the order drawer), choose to charge an extra fee. The platform detects whether the customer has a saved card and shows its brand and last digits.

    2. 2

      Pick the type and amount

Choose the charge type (overweight, extra days, damage, other), enter the amount in CAD, add a description and evidence photos if you have them.

    3. 3

      Charge the saved card

Confirm and the platform charges the saved card off-session on your account. The customer receives a courteous receipt email with the description and evidence, and the fee appears in your Finances (CAD) page.

    Troubleshooting

It says the customer has no saved card.

The card is only saved when the customer pays through the platform (booking, payment link with card save, or card-by-phone). For cash customers, send a payment link for the extra fee instead.
