The "Create New Customer" modal builds a complete profile in one pass: pick the type, fill the contact and address, then the type-specific details.
Click "New Customer" on the Customers page. The modal opens with the prompt "Select a profile type and fill in the details."
Choose one of three cards: "Residential" ("Individual homeowner or property resident."), "Contractor" ("Construction company or trade professional."), or "Broker" ("Broker or intermediary managing multiple projects."). The rest of the form appears after you pick.
"Full Name" is required. "Email" and "Phone" are optional but unlock invoice email, SMS, and review requests later. "Status" offers "Active", "Inactive", and "VIP / High Value".
"Street Address" is required. Start typing (placeholder: "Start typing a street…") and pick a Google suggestion; "City", "State / Province", and "ZIP / Postal Code" fill in automatically. US and Canadian addresses are supported.
Contractors and brokers must fill "Company Name" under "Company Details". Residential customers skip this section.
"Residential Details", "Contractor Details", or "Broker Details" appears based on the chosen profile. See the customer types guide for every field.
Under "Additional Info", the "Notes" box accepts anything relevant ("Add any relevant notes about this customer..."). Click "Save Customer"; the button reads "Saving..." while it writes.
Fix the validation messages: "Full name is required.", "Street address is required.", "Company name is required." (contractor and broker), or "Broker license number is required." (broker only).
The save failed on the server; the toast shows the reason. Check your connection and try again.
