How to make an office user also a driver in Dumpster Controls

In small companies the dispatcher often drives too. One switch gives an office user a spot in the Drivers list without a second account.

    Before you start

    • The Admin role.
    1. 1

Option 1: from the edit form

Edit the user on the "Admin Users" page, go to "Role & Options", and turn on "Also a Driver" ("Turn this on if they also do deliveries or pickups.").

    2. 2

      Optionally add the license

The "Driver License (optional)" section appears with "License Number" and "Expiration Date". Filling the expiration lets the Drivers page track it for you.

    3. 3

Option 2: from the Account Center

In "Team and Permissions", flip the "Also a Driver" switch directly on the person's row.

    What happens next

    • The person appears in the Drivers list with an "Admin" chip next to their name, can be assigned tasks on the Dispatch board, and their detail view notes "This user also appears in the Drivers list and can be assigned to routes."
    • The "Admin + Driver" counter on the Admin Users page includes them.
    • Turning the switch off removes their driver access and takes them out of the Drivers list; their office role is untouched.
