How driver onboarding works from invite to first task in Dumpster Controls

From the moment you click "Create Driver" to the driver's first completed stop, the platform guides both sides. This is the full journey.

  1. You create the driver

Fill the "New Driver" form on the "Drivers" page. The moment you save, the invite goes out automatically; no separate send step.

  2. The driver gets the invite

An email titled "{Your company}: set up your driver account" (plus a text when a phone is on file) with a "Set Your Password" button and the plan: "Click the button above to set your password", "Download the Dumpster Controls Driver app", "Log in with your email and new password", "Start receiving and completing dispatch tasks". The email also carries App Store and Google Play buttons under "Get the driver app".

  3. The driver sets a password

The link opens the password page in their browser. After setting it, the driver is guided to install the app on their phone.

  4. The driver installs and logs in

In the Dumpster Controls app, the driver logs in with their email and new password. See the driver app install guide for what their first screen looks like.

  5. You assign work

The driver now has a lane on your Dispatch board. Assign a task and the driver gets a push notification on their phone.
