Roll-off driver app

A roll-off driver's day is four kinds of stop, repeated: drop an empty can, pick up a full one, dump it, and sometimes both at once as a swap. The roll-off driver app from Dumpster Controls is built around those four moves and nothing else. Open My Tasks and the day is a list in running order, each card with its stop number, the task type on a colored edge, the size, the time window, the address and the note from dispatch. A red LATE chip appears by itself when a date has passed.

A delivery is four moves

Tap On My Way and a driving timer starts; dispatch sees the stop as started. Open Map hands the address to Google Maps. At the site, tap I've Arrived, and the sheet asks for the After Delivery photo, which is stamped with the date, the location and the company name by itself. Then the card "Which dumpster did you drop?" lets you pick the unit from the list, scan the QR sticker on the can, or type the label painted on it. Drag Slide to complete all the way right, and confetti fires, the stop turns green, and the rental clock starts on the order.

A pickup runs the same way with one twist: when the can you collected is full, the toast says "Pickup completed. Landfill task prepared." and the landfill run opens by itself, with the closest landfills listed first. At the scale house you photograph the receipt, tap Submit Landfill Receipt, and the Receipt scan reads the net weight and the total off the photo for you to confirm. One slide saves the receipt and completes the run, and the truck is marked empty for the next delivery.

Truck Tablet Mode: the app on a tablet that belongs to the truck

On a tablet mounted in the cab the app becomes a different layout, built like a navigation head unit: the day list on the left, the live route map on the right, and a vertical rail of large buttons, every control at least 48 by 48 pixels. The tablet is paired to the company rather than to a person, so at shift change the next driver taps a face and types a 4 digit PIN, and every stop, photo and shift hour is still attributed to the individual. The map draws one trip at a time, solid when the truck carries a can and dashed when it runs empty, and a landfill run is drawn at the landfill rather than at the customer address.

When the signal drops at the landfill or on a rural route, the tablet keeps working: the day is cached on the device, every action queues, and the queue replays in order when the connection returns, with a sync badge that never says synced while something is waiting. The rest of the day in the same app

Messages is chat with the office. The Map tab draws the day with numbered pins, your position, the yard and nearby landfills with star ratings. Store for Later parks a full can at the yard when the landfill closed, hands the run back to dispatch and marks the truck empty. Ask Tresha opens the built-in assistant by text or voice, and she can complete a stop when you tell her it is done. The globe icon switches the app between English, Spanish and Portuguese.
