Dumpster Controls MCP connector

Dumpster Controls is the first dumpster rental software with an MCP server. The Model Context Protocol connector lets Claude work with your Dumpster Controls account: look up orders, dispatch, invoices, customers, landfill receipts and payments, and prepare changes that happen only after you confirm them.

It runs as you, limited to your company, and keeps no copy of your data: each answer is read live from your account. First verified on September 28, 2026: no other dumpster rental platform we track publishes an MCP server.

How to connect in Claude

All you need is a Dumpster Controls user with an office role. No sign-up, no approval and no extra cost. Questions: support@dumpstercontrols.io.

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector (or add Dumpster Controls from the directory once listed).
2. Name it Dumpster Controls, paste https://mcp.dumpstercontrols.io/mcp and keep Claude's published identity (leave client ID and secret empty).
3. Choose Connect and sign in on dumpstercontrols.io with your own user. Your password never goes into the chat.
4. Review the consent screen (client, account, company, each permission and where you return) and choose Connect.
5. In a chat, enable the Dumpster Controls tools and ask a question.

Claude verifies itself with its published Client ID Metadata Document; its callback is https://claude.ai/api/mcp/auth_callback. To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude; connections also expire on their own and Claude then asks you to sign in again.

What the assistant can do

Account

Every connected user.

• get_connection_context Read only
  Connected company, language, currency, time zone and granted capabilities. No credentials.

Orders and invoices

Office roles (admin, supervisor, dispatcher).

• list_orders Read only
  Orders newest first, filtered by number, customer, status, type or dates; flags late pickups and shows the next open task and its driver.
• get_order Read only
  One order: address, size, unit, dates, status, total, costs, latest staff notes and timeline.
• list_invoices Read only
  Invoices by status, date or customer, with totals, due date, past-due flag and send count.
• get_invoice Read only
  One invoice with lines, taxes, discount, fees and totals. Never the payment link.

Customers

Office roles.

  Customers by name or company, ignoring case and accents, without contact details.
• get_customer Read only
  One customer with email, phone and address. Never private notes.
• propose_customer_upsert Proposal, changes nothing
  Create or edit a customer: validates email, phone, state and ZIP, refuses duplicates by email, phone or company name.

  Saves the customer. Nobody is notified.

Dispatch

  Finds an open delivery, pickup or landfill step due today or earlier.

  Completes it like the app: notifies the customer and queues the payout. Landfill runs take weight and cost.

  Drivers with name and active status, without phone or email.

  Assign, reassign or unassign the driver and truck of an open task.

  Saves the assignment; the driver gets a push notification and an SMS, like in the app.

Order changes

What each role does with it

• Owner: Ask what came in this week, what is still owed and which invoices are past due, then prepare a discount and confirm it in the app.
• Dispatcher: See which dumpsters are late for pickup, assign the next day’s stops to drivers and mark finished runs complete, each after a confirmation.
• Office staff: Find a customer phone number, fix a service address, move a pickup date, add a staff note and resend an invoice.

MCP connector, Tresha or the API: which to use

How changes are confirmed

• Reads never change data.
• Operational changes take two steps. The assistant shows what would change and who is notified; the change runs only after you confirm in the chat. Proposals expire after 10 minutes and never run twice.
• Prices and cancellations are confirmed in the app. You get a link to dumpstercontrols.io/mcp/confirm/..., review totals and any refund signed in, and confirm or cancel.
• No money moves through the connector.
• Text in your records is data, not instructions. A note that looks like a command cannot change anything without your confirmation.

Security

• OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256), protected resource metadata for discovery, refresh tokens rotated on every use.
• Verified clients only. Claude's identity document is fetched only from allowlisted origins; open dynamic registration is refused.
• Your session, your company. The database checks your user and company on every call. Tokens never reach the assistant and are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM).
• Audited. Proposals, outcomes and confirmed changes are logged like the same action in the app.
• No training, no resale of your data by Dumpster Controls. See the connector privacy policy and the Security page.

Limits

• One company per connection; lists come 50 per page; money summaries cover up to 92 days.
• Not available through the connector: creating orders, recording payments, attaching receipt files, swaps, relocations and junk removal jobs.

Troubleshooting

• Access denied at sign-in: your user has no office role, or your company or user is inactive.
• A tool is missing: your role does not include it or it was not granted; reconnect after a role change.
• "expired": the proposal is older than 10 minutes; ask again.
• Confirmation link not found: open it signed in with the same user that connected Claude.

Frequently asked questions

Which dumpster rental software has an MCP server?

Dumpster Controls. As of September 28, 2026 it is the first dumpster rental software we found with a published Model Context Protocol server; we found none documented by iCANS, Docket, CurbWaste, DRS or the other platforms we track.

What is the Dumpster Controls MCP connector?

A remote MCP server at https://mcp.dumpstercontrols.io/mcp that lets Claude work with the connected company's orders, dispatch, invoices, customers, landfill receipts and payments received. Reads run right away, changes need your confirmation, and price changes and cancellations are confirmed only inside the app. OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; every request runs as the signed-in user.

Can the assistant see data from other companies?

No. Every call runs with your own session and the database limits each result to your company. The company is never taken from the conversation.

Can the assistant change prices, cancel orders or move money on its own?

No. The connector never charges a card, issues a refund or transfers money. Price changes and cancellations only create a link; the change, including any refund, happens when you confirm it signed in to the app. Other changes need an explicit confirmation in the chat, and proposals expire after 10 minutes.

Does the connector work with ChatGPT?

A ChatGPT app is in preparation and not available yet. Today the connector works with Claude.

How is this different from Tresha?

Tresha is the assistant built into the Dumpster Controls app, by text and voice. The MCP connector brings the same account into Claude, outside the app. Both act only after you confirm.

Does it answer in Spanish or Portuguese?

Yes. Tool descriptions and consent follow the language of your Dumpster Controls user: English, Spanish or Portuguese.

How do I remove access?

Remove or disconnect the connector in Claude. The server refuses the removed connection, and every connection also expires on its own.

Who can connect?

Any Dumpster Controls user with an office role, with no sign-up or approval. Money reports, price changes and cancellations are limited to admins and supervisors; driver accounts see only the account context. Questions: support@dumpstercontrols.io.
