How the money moves

Setting the company country to Canada in Settings, Company tab, is the switch. From that moment Stripe onboarding creates a Canadian account, public booking accepts postal codes in the A1A 1A1 format with the coverage check geocoded inside Canada, and every payment surface runs in CAD: online booking, invoices and payment links, card-by-phone at the counter, saved cards for returning customers, extra fees such as overweight, and refunds. The fees are two, both deducted at charge time and both itemized. Stripe Canada charges 2.9% + C$0.30 per domestic card transaction. Dumpster Controls charges 0.5% + C$2.00 per transaction as an application fee. On a C$500 charge that is roughly C$14.80 to Stripe and C$4.50 to Dumpster Controls, with about C$480.70 landing in your Stripe balance. You choose whether the customer pays the card fee on top, your company absorbs it, or you split it. A full refund returns the Dumpster Controls fee automatically. Cash and cheque orders carry no fee, and the software itself has no monthly fee, no per-order fee and no contract, exactly as in the United States.

What is different for a Canadian company

Most of the platform does not know or care which side of the border it is on: dispatch, the driver app, the customer record, the Trucks page, Tresha. The pieces that do change are the ones that touch money, addresses, holidays and disposal, and the table lists each one with its current state.
