Bin rental software

In Ontario and Alberta, and from Minnesota across to Maine, the roll-off dumpster is a bin, the truck is a bin truck and the company is a bin rental company. The work is the same loop a Florida hauler runs: deliver an empty bin, pick it up full, tip it at a landfill or transfer station that charges by the tonne, invoice the customer. Bin rental software has to hold that loop for every active order at once, and Dumpster Controls does it in Canadian dollars on a Canadian Stripe account, or in US dollars on a US one, for free.

What the software runs, bin by bin

An order carries the customer, the address, the bin size, the delivery and pickup dates, the debris type, the price and the placement note, and from creation it holds both of its tasks, its photos grouped by moment, its payment breakdown and its timeline. The Operations page sorts every active order into Waiting Delivery, Waiting Pickup and Waiting Landfill, with Late, Ready and Scheduled computed from the dates rather than set by anyone. Dispatch is a board with an Unassigned pool and one lane per driver, and dragging a card into a lane sends the driver a push notification and a text.

Every bin is a unit with a serial like 20YD-01, a status, a condition and notes, under a size that carries its prices for 24 hours, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days, the included tonnage and the per-tonne overage. The driver picks the bin he dropped by list or by scanning the QR sticker, and the serial follows the order, so a bin at a customer site shows its order number on the Inventory page. Bin rental software in Canada

The country setting is the switch. Set it to Canada in Settings before connecting Stripe, fill the address with the real province code (ON, QC, BC, AB, MB, SK, NS, NB, NL, PE, YT, NT or NU) and the postal code, and from that moment Stripe onboarding creates a Canadian account, the booking page accepts A1A 1A1 postal codes and geocodes them inside Canada for the delivery radius check, and every amount is in CAD: booking, invoices, payment links, card-by-phone at the counter, saved-card fees for overweight or extra days, refunds, the dashboard, Orders P&L and the Finances page. The header shows a Canadian flag with CAD next to it. The national holidays list for blackout dates is the Canadian one.

The money is born in Canada and stays there. Charges are created on your own Canadian Stripe account, Stripe deposits to your Canadian bank on its standard schedule, and there is no conversion and no US account in the path. The software itself is free; when a customer pays by card the charge carries the Stripe Canada processing fee, 2.9% + C$0.30 for domestic cards, plus the Dumpster Controls fee of 0.5% + C$2.00 per transaction, both itemized on the Finances page, and a full refund returns the Dumpster Controls fee. Two honest limits: GST, HST and PST are entered per order in the tax field rather than derived from the province, and the Dumpster Net Hub marketplace is United States only for now. Bin rental app

The "bin rental app" search is usually a driver, or the owner buying for drivers. The Dumpster Controls app is on the App Store and Google Play, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, free with unlimited drivers. A delivery is four moves: On My Way, I've Arrived, the stamped photo and the bin picked by serial, then slide to complete. A pickup of a full bin creates the landfill run by itself, and at the scale house the receipt scan reads the net weight and the total off the photo onto the order. On a tablet mounted in the truck the app becomes Truck Tablet Mode, paired to the truck, with drivers switching by PIN and the day cached on the device so it keeps working through the dead zone at the landfill. Bin rental business software

The owner's screens are the same in both countries, with the currency switched. Finances shows net profit first, then Received, Invoiced, Unpaid and Expenses against the previous period, and Orders P&L reads revenue, landfill cost and margin per order, because the driver's receipt scan put the tipping cost on the order.
