Software for roll off companies is the system that holds the loop every roll-off order runs through: a container delivered on a date, picked up on another date, emptied in between at a landfill that charges by the ton, and billed with the overage after the dump. The roll off company app, module by module
Start with the order, because everything hangs off it. The other five modules either write to that order or read from it.
Orders
Customer, address, size, rental period, debris type, price and placement note. After creation it holds its own delivery task, pickup task, photos by moment, payment breakdown and timeline.
Extensions, swaps and overweight fees are edits to that record, not new paperwork.
Dispatch
An Unassigned pool, one lane per driver, cards dragged in running order, and a map that draws a loaded truck solid and an empty truck dashed. The driver gets a push notification and a text.
Driver app
Delivery, pickup, landfill run and swap as four different flows with their own photo slots. The receipt scan reads the scale ticket so the disposal cost reaches the order.
On a tablet in the cab it becomes Truck Tablet Mode, drivers switching by PIN.
Containers
Each can by serial, with a status, a condition and the order it sits on. Sizes carry the pricing, the included tonnage and the per-ton overage.
Landfills
The database with hours and a tipping fee estimate, the closest site picked from the cab, and net weight and total read off the receipt photo.

How we make money: only when you opt in, and the numbers are public. The software is free with unlimited orders and no per-order software fee. If you choose to collect a customer’s card payment through Dumpster Controls, the processing fee is 2.99% + $3.99 per card transaction on the free plan, or 2.99% + $0.30 (the standard Stripe rate) on the optional $169/month Unlimited plan. Take payment by cash, check, Zelle or any other way and you pay nothing at all. Beyond that, our revenue comes from the optional Unlimited plan and from equipment partners and sponsors advertising in the app and on our public directory; our marketplace, the Dumpster Net Hub, charges zero marketplace fees. Run your own business your way and you never pay to use the software. It’s the only model that lets a 1-truck owner-operator run on the same software as a 50-truck fleet.

Registration, insurance and odometer checklist, and a maintenance log with a shortcut that posts a repair to Finances as an expense.
Public API
Reads orders, customers and estimates and sends signed webhooks when an order is created, changes status or gets paid, for companies with their own website or CRM.
